Fantastic New Website
(...if we do say so ourselves.)
On returning to Mippin after a two and a half year hiatus, the very first task I was handed was to build a new website. Over the last few years Mippin has grown to include far more than just the mobile portal. We now have a whole suite of successful apps and widgets for iPhone, Android and Symbian phones, not to mention we still mobilize the web beautifully across all devices. The problem was we weren't shouting about it enough or letting people know all they can do with Mippin -- anything from mobilizing their own blog to building thousands of apps to feed into an app store (that's right, please check out the awesome App Factory).So we wanted a great new website to do the shouting for us!
The most important goal for the new website is to give visitors a clear overview of what we do while allowing them to explore each service in detail. Each of our services now has its own look and feel while the overarching site design ties everything together.
For those of you who regularly use our Mippin Mobilizer it's now listed under Services in its own branded area. It is still the same mobilizer you know and love beneath the skin. And if you haven't tried the Mippin Mobilizer yet then you should really give mobilizing your blog or website a go!
On a more personal note, I have really enjoyed stretching my legs and putting all my design and development skills to good use. (I have also learnt not to underestimate the amount of time it takes to fix the catalogue of Internet Explorer problems. Rest assured, if you are reading this through Microsoft’s browser then you are seeing the same as those with more desirable browsers.) Most of all though, it's just good to be back as part of the team here at Mippin.
