Mippin wins Red Herring award
It's great to be the bringer of good news. I've joined Mippin about a month ago and can now share with you our excitement about having won the Red Herring award - being recognised as one of the Top 100 Tech Startups in Europe! This is a great achievement of the Mippin/Refresh Mobile team after only six months of Mippin in action.I'm proud to be part of this team and we're committed to making Mippin even more exciting and popular!

So this company is one of 99 other companies that got this? This type of Award isn't very prestigious if 99 others get it too.
My understanding is that Red Herring gives out 100 of these, invites you to their "investor conference" and lets the investors (who happen to sponsor the event) get dibs on who they want to meet with. Its not much of an Award.
Besides, the journalists pick these so called Awards...no research, no methodology, just who ever they like...seems like a big scam to me.
